The Trimetric 2020 Battery Meter allows you to monitor your battery bank amp hours, voltage and approximate percentage full. Easy to read LED display shows readings, indicator light shows whether you are viewing amps, volts or percentages. The 2020 also has a 'reminder' LED that flashes to indicate when batteries need charging or equalization, according to user-adjustable equalization schedules and voltage set-points. It also records minimum and maximum battery voltage, days since the battery bank was last charged or equalized, and total lifetime amp-hours drawn from the battery bank. Voltage readings are accurate within 1/2 of one percent, and display shows 0.1 volt resolution. The 2020 can correctly read between 8-35 VDC. Total amp hours can be recorded up to ~100,000 amp-hours within 1 percent accuracy. The Trimetric 2020 can be mounted in a double-gang electrical box, with a 1 amp fuse in the incoming positive lead. A shunt is also required for operation. For 12 and 24 volt systems with continuous current under 300 amps, a 500A/50mV shunt is recommended. For larger systems, a 1000A/100mV shunt should be used.
