Rutland's 913 Windcharger has peak output of approx. 120 watts in 40+ MPH winds. The 913 wind turbine also features lower start-up speed (approx. 5mph) and quieter operation than comparable three bladed turbines, making them good for low wind speed sites, and residential installations. The 6 blade design provides better balance and stability, especially under winter blade-icing conditions.
All Marlec Rutland wind generators are built to marine specifications, making them very durable in harsh environments. Their unique flywheel-effect generator continues producing power between sudden gusts of wind, when other turbines may stall. All Rutland generators feature low start-up speeds, and high peak output speeds, making them some of the most versatile home power generators available.
The 913 is available in 12 or 24VDC. Designed for use with Rutland's HRS913 Regulator or the HRDX digital controller; or any 12V, 12 amp or 24V, 7 amp (or larger) load diverting controller. Controller needs to be ordered voltage specific. The Rutland/Marlec controller/regulators will also handle a small amount of additional solar.
Mounts by sleeving into 41mm (~1.6") ID pipe.
