The Aero4FGen 100W furling wind turbines are designed to charge 12 or 24 volt lead acid and nickel cadmium (NiCad) batteries. Designed for mounting on a 2 inch diameter pole, for operation in optimum wind speeds between 15 and 28mph, the Aero4FGen's special furling tail design will turn the turbine out of direct wind (furl) at ~46mph, and still produce 10A (@ 12V) or 5A (@24V) of power. This furling action protects the turbine from damage in high winds. NOT recommended for use on boats as the rolling action on waves affects the furling action.
The Aero4FGen's high efficiency brushless alternator incorporates heavy duty stator windings and high energy permanent magnet rotors. Corrosion-resistant marine grade materials are used throughout construction.
The Aero4FGen is available in both 12 volt (LVM412F) and 24 volt (LVM424F) configurations. Order the model that matches the voltage of your battery bank for maximum efficiency.
