The Aero6FGen furling wind turbine was designed to charge 12 or 24 volt lead acid and nickel cadmium (NiCad) batteries. Designed for optimum wind speeds between 15 and 28mph, at ~46mph the Aero6FGen's special furling tail design will "furl" the turbine blades out of direct wind, protecting the turbine from high wind damage while still producing 20A (@12V) or 10A (@24V) of power. NOT recommended for boats as the rolling action on waves affects the furling action.
The Aero6FGen's high efficiency brushless alternator incorporates heavy duty stator windings and high energy permanent magnet rotors. Corrosion-resistant marine grade materials are used throughout construction. The Aero6FGen is available in both 12 (LVM612F) and 24v (LVM624F) configurations. Order the model that matches the voltage of your battery bank for maximum efficiency. (NOTE: NOT typically in stock. We will contact you regarding any lead time when you place your order.)
